D.V. Ent. Supports InnerCityYouf...

As a hip-hop group from “Queen City” Buffalo, NY. The members include Cordero Jerel (MC) & “No Chrome” R.O.M.E (MC). Meeting back in highschool at the Performing arts of Buffalo; which cultivates the visual and performing arts of young individuals; It was there that they fell in love with what they did. Taking the classical instruction they were given, they flipped it to make it PHRESH!. Cordero Jerel was in the Symphonic Band and R.O.M.E was taking up visual arts. They used to skip out of class, go to the theater or music rooms...When they hit their first year of college they all went to different institutions and did their own thing. That summer the two M.C’s realized they both up'd their skills, and it was time to get focused. The two coined the name “InnerCityYouf” which represents where they were raised, but on the flipside how they used that environment to empower their creatively. Some of their influence’s range from Mos Def, Big L, Lupe Fiasco, all the way to Charlie Parker and Thelonious Monk. They appreciate real music and real expression. The type of music that reflects their experiences, its real lyrical and genuine. Most of the songs are spin offs of actual conversations had with each other about girls, money, peers or life in general. They pride themselves on being exactly who they are in the studio, as in real life, which is what hip-hop needs.
